Ok, the first round is officially over. 6 contestants advance to the next round. Judges? Let at 'em
I'll do all the timing business, just post here with your scores for each.

Look at my Challenge #1 project. Point count is explained there.

platform710:
Originality-3/3 (First entry with an idea using rotation sensing)
Creativity-4/5 (See above. Polar coordinate systems are fun and creative to use
)
Skill-2/5 (Uses early intermediate broadcast and timer set scripts, but nothing hard to code)
Clarity-0/1 (Useless but active color-based script, 2 stray blocks, uses variable to set something that never changes anyway [the 0,0 position])
Bonus:
No go to x,y block: 1 point (beginning positioning doesn't count
)
1 point for small sensor
Total: 11 points
roger-:
Originality-2/3 (AB3 came up with the long "if" chain idea, but most factors are original)
Creativity-4/5 (The sensor+returning variable method is pretty creative
)
Skill-4/5 (Using if-else chains and making it one frame is a show of respectable skill)
Clarity-1/1 (a few stray blocks, and a few non-optimal block placings, but no major useless stuff)
Bonus:
No go to x,y block: 1 point (beginning positioning doesn't count
)
1 point for small sensor
Total: 13 points
AtomicBawm3:
Originality-3/3 (First person to use long if chains to reduce frames
)
Creativity-3/5 (Somewhat creative if-chaining strategy, but it's basically just conditions and basic movement)
Skill-3/5 (making it one frame is skillful, but there's not THAT much knowledge needed for the scripting)
Clarity-1/1 (Nothing useless
)
Bonus:
No go to x,y block: 1 point
No sensor: 3 points
Total: 14 points
acester:
Originality: 2/3 (rotating sensing has already been used, but the way you're doing it with a radar sensor is pretty original, I guess.)
Creativity: 3/5 (See above.)
Skill: 2/5 (The trig is not very useful, unfortunately. Lots of repeat blocks and other aspects of your scripts show that your programming skill is pretty average.)
Clarity: 0/1 (using operation blocks for basic constant math, two motion blocks to do one movement, and more not-so-efficient scripts.)
Bonus:
No go to x,y block: 1 point (beginning positioning doesn't count
)
1 point for small sensor
3 points for trig use.
Total: 12 points
I'm not entirely sure the trig counts as constructive. Telemachus should help verify this.
Sorry, I have to go now but I'll grade the other two when I get back

NOTE: Illegal scripting was used in this entry. However, it was not used in a way which, in my opinion, really cheated the system. Therefore I believe a 2 point penalty is sufficient, as there is a possible workaround with legal blocks.

could i do go to x: y: ? oh... but i would need to use the x position of sensor.
well, any way, when will you post challenge 2?

(It would be perfect if you had two variables, one for x and one for y. Then you could use "set x to (x) and set y to (y)" without breaking any rules and perhaps getting bonus points.)
well, any way, when will you post challenge 2?
As soon as all judges have submitted their ratings.

Rembember, my scores have the same weight as all other scores submitted by other judges. They are far from official, and could fluctuate greatly.

How did I get .58 as my average? I though mine was faster than that. Did you look at Contest #1- Hide 'n Seek again? Cuz that was my best version and the one in the gallery. I don't think it ever got over a second...

if i can i would like to join.

uh.... there's a problem with judging. some of the contestants' entries didn't work. If you time it 5 times, and it doesn't work, what happens? I think you should be graded down or something if it doesn't work.

Most likely if it doesn't work, it's a problem in scratch or online, so I don't think that's a legitimate argument.

no, some of them don't work. chipguy's didn't work, so I downloaded it and tested it around. It works most of the time, but sometimes it doesn't work.

If the entries didn't work, which fortunately didn't happen for me, I would have tripled the average time for the entries that did work and added that to the list.

I judged both of your entries. The entry here got the most total points. If you would like to switch to the faster entry that's perfectly fine, just tell the judges and we'll judge that instead. Just remember, the no sensor bonus is better than a podium position.

I think the other judges should be judging.... I told JeanTheFox and the other judges, but they haven't submited their "judging" yet. and I KNOW JeanTheFox had a chance to do this, because she is active in the TBG.

Give them some time
I can release the 2nd challenge early if people want that....
