Middle school! :O
I'm going to middle school on September 1st, and I'm a little scared. I'm gonna get a nice teacher, I will be a Girl Scout Cadette, and I will play flute in the 6th grade band, but I'm still scared. I've got at least 3 middle school survival guides, but I'm still a little uneasy about 6th grade at a school with almost 300 kids total. I need some more tips on how to survive being in a new school, and I'm not talking about stuff like the locker combination and strict teachers, I'm talking about cliques and piles of homework and stuff like that. If you are in or survived middle school, I would like to hear some tips to make me feel more confident about what's up ahead in a couple of weeks!

You'll get through it. 7th grade is a LOT harder than 6th.

I'm sorry to say this, but I do not get that impression.
I'm glad to think that the community will always be kind and helpful, the language will always be a fun and easy way to be introduced into programming, the motto will always be: Imagine, Program, Share - Nomolos

Seventh grade is going to be a lot easier than sixth for me. At least, it should be. Bleh.
And I'm going into sixth too, I start on the 30th. I'm not worried about the school part either, but I'm not exactly worried about cliques and such.

Oh, and if you need any advice, I guess you can ask. Just don't ask me how to be popular, because I have no idea.

Tell that to my mom. She wants me to follow the "plaid fad", and my mom thinks I look cool in plaid (I don't), and the only plaid thing I will wear is plaid flip-flops (Really, I have a pair.)
And I never tried to act popular, but I have tried to act "cool", but I will try no to this year.

Don't lay low, just don't be a big shot.
A kid I know was trying to be all cool and act strong, he tried to beat me up and ended up cracking his own head open.
That's why you don't try acting like a big shot.

Anyways, about some comments of not trying to be cool, in fifth grade this one kid always attempted to trade his fruit for something like pizza, a couple days ago we joked to him about it and said, "Don't take our food". He was like, "I'm not going to. [removed]" So he is trying way to hard to be cool by not stealing our food and cussing people off at the first mention.
Not that he was ever cool, he gets his facts from fictional TV and repeats jokes he heard over and over.
I'm glad to think that the community will always be kind and helpful, the language will always be a fun and easy way to be introduced into programming, the motto will always be: Imagine, Program, Share - Nomolos

Advice for middle school? Well, I don't know how to help with the pile of homework issue, since I've always had problems with spending too much time on homework. For advice on cliques, just find people that you can be yourself with, and don't try to be somebody you're not. Plus, don't put a lot of effort into trying to be popular. In twenty years, you're not going to be worried about how popular you were back in sixth grade.
