Sprite Subtypes
I suggest making subtypes for sprites, like when you create a sprite, a menu could come up and says "Select subtype" or something, and you could create ragdolls, and add the limbs to it. Or Non Player Characters, or even breakable objects where you could design the intact version, and then design all the pieces. Of course also the option of the simple entity.
