Recently there has been a project claiming the maker (Not naming) was stuck, trapped in a flood, "likely to die"
It went on and on, with their projects getting loads and views, love-its, and tons of comments.
They made another project claiming things like "I can not go upstairs because the pipes are about to burst" and "My parents said I had to shut down my laptop now"
But later claimed things later on like "I am upstairs now", still on their laptop.
He/she seemed only to respond to things like "omg r u k?" but not things like "Wouldn't your internet be down?"
They said they dropped their phone in the water, and their seemed to be a friend going around telling people things like "LOVE IT TO GET THIS SEEN" "FAVE TO HELP THIS GET AROUND" and also giving information about it when the project maker was not there, because apparently he was standing where it was just deep enough to fit your legs in watching and doing nothing.
The funny thing is there is no flood warnings anywhere where the project maker lives, and it went on for over 10 (NOW ALMOST 30!) hours which is by far enough to drain any laptop battery.
If they can see him from where they are standing, along with the "Crowd of policemen" why do they not do something? Or if they are close enough to see him, he might probably be able to even swim out. And like I said in the comment example, his internet would be down by now!
Plus, why take time drawing yourself on a computer and uploading projects when you could be finding something that floats or shouting outside to the police?
I am sorry if I am wrong with the example, but it seems like all facts point towards just doing it for attention.
So my question:
Do you think it is right to fake your near death just for views and love-its?
It seemed really affective, he/she got tons and tons of comments and views.
If not, do you think the project should be removed?
I was just wondering your opinion, and wondering if I should report it or not. Because there is a chance that he/she is telling the truth, in that case I am sorry.

Yes, I saw that. I thought it was a lie from the start.

So, report it?
He is STILL pretending to be in the flood.
Thats one amazing laptop to last 27 hours.

That is an amazingly good point.

And the "crowd of policemen" must be doing an awfully good job.
It seems all they have done is stand and watch a child suffer doing absolutely nothing for 27 hours straight.

Look at what I found on the Emergency Agency: http://www.environment-agency.gov.uk/ho … 31618.aspx
Search for runcorn and look at what you get: http://www.environment-agency.gov.uk/ho … 31618.aspx
No flood warnings in force.

Yep, BBC and other websites don't have weather warnings either.
I think I am going to go ahead and report it.
His friend is still arguing that he is in a flood and we need to love it to get it around.

Where is this? If this is fake, which it sounds like it is, then this is one of the sickest things someone has ever done here.

Yep, I am pretty sure its fake.
No flood warnings
Internet would be down
Sayings things that are impossible/really unlikely
27 hour battery life of laptop
Police standing watching doing nothing
Talking like lying
Went upstairs after saying couldnt
Flood lasted almost 30 hours yet not on news
People are apparently standing really close yet he can not swim out
Said he had to shut laptop down until flood was gone then turned it back on
According to people he/she has faked quit for attention before
The list goes on.

We can't. It could turn into gossip. But all I can tell you is that they were in a FLOOD (not).

Just saw the projects, and not only is he over-dramatizing it, he is most definitely acting. This really makes me mad. Is there even such a thing as an 'aftershock flood'?

This isn't the first time.....

I know.
People are believing him and praying for him, and crying for him, and faving all his projects just to hope he is ok.

As long as we keep this topic clear of gossip, we're happy to keep it open.
Once, my friend told everybody in the school (including me) that they had Leukemia and they would die in October. And October came... she wasn't dying. She didn't look sick. She had hair. In December, she admitted to us all that all our hopes and prayers were for nothing, and that it was all a stunt to get attention.

I think its a horrible thing to do just to get some project views.
Faking death is serious..
This topic is already quite gossipy..
I will try to stick more to the question rather than the example.
