Re: Removed projects

Thanks for your inquiry LT. We are trying to foster a friendly environment so we are removing content that we think is not appropriate. Sometimes is a hard decision to make,  we are working on implementing a community-driven censorship mechanism. For now, if you find something insulting please report it.

Re: Removed projects

How do you report something? What if it's not a game it's a comment on someone's game?

Re: Removed projects

For now you can contact us directly using the contact us form at the bottom. Make sure to send the URL that you are reporting. I am working on a better system for reporting as we speak. I should get back to coding :-)

Re: Removed projects

We have added a feature that allows you to report a project as not appropriate for the Scratch on-line community. Underneath the project you can see a link called Flag as inappropriate. Click it when you want to report something to us.

Re: Removed projects

The rule should surely be -

IF YOU HAVE SOMETHING CONSTRUCTIVE OR COMPLIMENTARY TO SAY --- SAY IT.
IF YOU DON'T --- DON'T.

Criticism as long as it's constructive is perfectly fine and very useful (as well as necessary). But comments such as 'This sucks' or '*' etc. don't help anyone and could really demotivate someone who is new to Scratch or a bit low in confidence.

Yes, I agree. My eight year old received two comments like this (from the same person).  While we did discuss it, and now seems more mad than discouraged, I think it should be clear that such comments are not welcome.  As a LAST resort, perhaps parents of younger users could be able to hide comments?
