I guess people just began to enjoy chatting a lot more. A newer generation of users came on and found the forums, the older generation left, and the new generation starting chatting a lot more. If you look at the significant volume of Miscellaneous posts are made by users who just joined the forums within the last year or two.

Exactly. Show and Tell, in particular, has dropped from the start of the year, to now, by over 1000 posts! We need to do something. I have a plan...

We have to remember, though, that Show and Tell was the old Miscellaneous.

I think the thing that was different was that there were no "I quit!" projects and posts that were just to get attention or to get people to do something. I remember once this person posted "10 people to join hamster RPG 2 in the next 3 days or I quit!" No one joined, but he stayed anyways. I hate things like that. I'm fine with it if you announce it without asking for publicity then ACTUALLY LEAVE, but publicity stunts are (sadly) in abundance today sad

Not true. I greatly enjoy all aspects of Scratch, both making projects and posting on the forums. smile
