The best class we do at my school is Computers, aka making powerpoints about various subjects, like famous people.

Blah. I took that in 8th grade. We were supposedly going help remake our school website, but wound up typing and making PowerPoints instead.
I got to make animations using GoAnimate
And write a paper about respect... Ours was about how we shouldn't nuke the whales because we wouldn't be respecting the enviroment xD And we got an A on that paper.

I'm not taking any cool classes. Except P.E, and going to Karate and doing Capeira and playing outside count as P.E for me
Also, unless it's directly related to what your going to major in, or what you're interested in, I wouldn't recommend taking AP, honors, advanced, whatever your want to call them, classes. They would only waste your time, because your litterally going to forget all of it as you progress through school.
Say you really want to become an architect and you took advanced biology in college. Over time as an architect, you're going to forget what a phylum is. If someone asks you what chlorophyl is, you're going to be like "what?..." Advanced classes just means alot of wasted time, in my opinion.

Bleh, I don't have any really cool classes. Gym, music, guidance (sort of like a life help class sorta thing), algebra, history, science, and art.
8th grade. Am I right?

Eh, no.
Swim team is (kind of) a class.

Some people who are in advanced classes don't know what they going to be when they grow up. So they try to learn the most they can so they can be the best at whatever they are when they grow up.
I'm in advanced classes, but mostly because I really want to be in a good college when I grow up. I don't want to work at McDonalds with tons of cats that I weep my problem to xD

Not much is changing for me, really - I'm taking the same lessons, more or less (ie - more Geography (
), more History (>.<), less Design Tech (also >.<) ) I'm taking a fast track GCSE Triple Science a year ahead from September, though. I've been taking GCSE French 2 years ahead, since January, as well.
Oh, and I take Astronomy after school
That's quite fun - we do a lot of discussions of why we think certain things happen, as well as lots of practicals, and we get to use a computer suite sometimes. And quizzes with prizes... I won one of the quizzes once, and got a little meteorite in a box (it was a quiz on meteors and meteorites, so it was a fitting prize
).
Also, not entirely academic, but from September, until next summer, I'm going to help out in a Year 7 (first year of high school) class for two 20-minute sessions per week (more, for the first few days, to help them find their way around the grounds, and such), as a Year 9 peer mentor. I just hope it's not my brother's class that I have to look after...

It applies to me, since I'm not gonna need to know a ton about earth science to write fantasy/sci-fi novels :p Or design games... Unless I design a game about earth science.

There are tons of smart people that didn't take AP classes, and were geniuses.
And as I stated before, your going to forget what you weren't interested in.

Yeah, I know. I was just trying to say that Advanced Classes aren't pointless. Yeah, you might forget later on in life, but why focus on the negative? The positive is more important to me xD

I take advanced classes because I like the challenge and colleges like them. I am also interested in lots of subjects and (gasp!) I like to learn. No, I wouldn't take AP Stamp Collecting or Honors Vacuuming if those classes existed, but I do take advanced classes that I think will be interesting and/or beneficial to my education.

As long as you're interested it wouldn't be a waste. But I hate when people do AP stuff just to brag, and then I ask "did you even like that class?" they say no.
