I made a new folder in the "costumes" folder. I accidentally created three files that I didn't want in that folder. How do I access the folder and delete them?

Go to your User file and search for it. Then right-click and hit Delete

I tried that, I couldn't find the folder.

If you're using Windows 7 (or maybe Vista?), then click the windows icon.
Then type costumes into the search bar at the bottom, and then click see more results.
Next you need to choose Computer under Search again in:
Once it finishes searching, they'll be two Scratch folders. Choose the one with the long name that's something like users/appdata etc:
In the folder it takes you too is where your own Scratch Sprites, Costumes etc: are being saved. just delete whatever's there that you don't want and it'll be gone .

I use a Mac, but I know how to do this on Windows too. Open your 'program files' folder, then click 'Scratch 1.4'. In that, click 'Media' then 'Costumes'. Your folder will be in there, and you can access it and delete the files you don't want.

I don't have a "Scratch 1.4" folder. I have a "Scratch" folder. But the folder isn't in there.

Is there no "costumes" folder in the "Scratch" folder?
Maybe it's in the folder you have in My Documents?

Not likely, only the projects go there,
meowmeowmeowmeow, try searching for Scratch, make sure its set to look in the local hard drives, then wait for it to find the Scratch folder, (If it does) then look int here.
If it doesn't have the media folder then try reinstalling scratch, make sure that you backup special files, just incase it overwrites them, hopefuly that will fix the problem.

No, in the Scratch folder is a 'Media' folder. The costumes folder is inside that.

markyparky56, I think I might consider your idea of reinstalling Scratch.
ScratchReallyROCKS, I'm not stupid. I knew that.
