Pokemon: Drano Adventures, Episode One
Episode One: A Journey Begins
Tom woke up by the sound of his alarm. He groaned and sat up. He immediately jolted awake with excitement, for he knew it was the day he was getting his first pokemon.
Tom lived away from pokemon his whole life. He wanted pokemon like the other children from home, but he could not, because him and his father lived where pokemon are scarce.
He finally got back home for his first pokemon.
Tom jumped out of bed and ran to Professor Maple's lab is. He approached the big building and read the sign:
PROFFESER MAPLE'S POKEMON STUDIES OF THE DRANO REGION
'Cool!' Tom exclaimed, running in.
He was greeted by Professor Maple, and his friend, Kim, who was told to meet him there.
'Hello Kim!' Tom said.
'Hi Tom!' Kim exclaimed in her high pitched, girlish voice.
Professor Maple told them to come over, so they did. They were presented with three pokeballs.
'Pick one' Professor Maple said, motioning to the pokeballs.
All three pokeballs opened revealing the starter pokemon.
Tom and Kim eyed the pokemon carefully. There was a short, round bellied, blue one with big, deep eyes. It had something that looked like a fish's fin on its head. There was a pig, its back a flame, and it's tail burning like a candle. And last there was a small pony, with a grass mane and a flower on its tail.
'There is Iqua, the Lake Dinosaur pokemon. There is Flarunt, the Fire Piglet pokemon. And there is Poneaf, the Field Pony pokemon. Choose wisely!' Professor Maple said.
'I'll take Flarunt!' Tom said. Kim piped up and chose Poneaf.
'Good choices! Now I have something for you guys.' Professor Maple said. He handed them what looked like a handheld gaming system. 'Thats a pokedex. Every pokemon you see, scan it with that and you will get its info up on the screen. Fill it out for me, to be rewarded greatly. Practise on your starters!'
Tom and Kim scanned Flarunt.
The screen flickered on and displayed Flarunt's info:

FLARUNT are brave, loyal and friendly, but will ram into enemies if angered.
'Ooh! Let me try!' Kim squealed excitedly.
She scanned Poneaf:

The Field Pony pokemon

PONEAF are very playful. They love to run in herds around big meadows and fields.
'Let's go find all the pokemon!' She said, giggling.
'I'm going to become the best trainer ever!' Tom declared.
So they set off on their journey to become the best trainer duo in the world.

Tom and Kim walked on. They stopped as they approached a field of tall grass.
'I heard if you walk through the tall grass, wild pokemon may attack you' Kim told Tom.
'We should be careful' Tom said, about to step into the field.
Before he could do anything else, Kim's Poneaf galloped into the grass.
'Poneaf, NO!' Kim yelled. 'She could get hurt! A pokemon could attack her!'
'You stay here. Your not safe to go through the grass without a pokemon. I'll go get poneaf with my Flarunt.'
'Runt Runt!' Flarunt said, agreeably.
Tom and Flarunt ran into the grass, looking for Flarunt. Hey ran into a trainer. A powerful one, holding Poneaf under one arm.
'Give Poneaf back!' Tom yelled at him.
'You'll have to battle me for her' The trainer said. 'I'm Mark. The strongest trainer of them all. And I need to take your little pony! I'll give it back if you beat me. Go, IQUA' He yelled, throwing a pokeball. Iqua popped out.
'IQUA!' It yelled. Tom gasped.
Professor Maple gave the last starter to this villain! He must have tricked him into it!
'Go, Flarunt!' Tom yelled, motioning Flarunt to go towards Iqua. 'Use POUND!'
Flarunt slammed into Iqua.
'QUA QUA!' Iqua shrieked in pain.
'That did NOTHING! NOTHING!' Mark yelled. 'Use SCRATCH, Iqua!'
'QUA!!!!' Iqua yelled while scratching Iqua.
Flarunt flipped over. He got back up. 'Flar....' He moaned.
Kim scanned Iqua from the sides of the field.

IQUA live in shallow lakes. They wade through the water, looking for fish.
'Its a water type! Water beats fire!' Kim yelled to Tom. 'Your Flarunt is weak to Iqua!'
'I'm not giving up yet!' Tom said. 'Use Bide!'
Flarunt curled up, storing energy.
'USE SCRATCH, AGAIN!' Mark yelled to his Iqua. Iqua did as told.
'RELEASE ENERGY, NOW!' Tom yelled, seeing his badly hurt Flarunt.
Flarunt released energy, knocking down Iqua. Iqua got back up and used Scratch once more.
'Use EMBER, Flarunt!' Tom yelled.
Flarunt tensed up and then released a ball of fire at Iqua.
'FLAR!' He yelled.
But it did nothing.
'It did NOTHING, FOOL!' Mark yelled. 'Use Bubble, and finish him off!'
Bubbles flew towards Flarunt. Flarunt was weak. He was on the ground, not moving.
'FLARUNT!' Tom yelled, running over to see his Flarunt. He whispered something in Flarunt's ear. Flarunt got up and defended.
'USE SCARY FACE!' Mark yelled. But it did nothing on Flarunt.
'Now use POUND! GIVE IT ALL YOU CAN!' Tom yelled to Flarunt. Flarunt used pound, hard.
Iqua flipped over and fainted.
'Wha-WHAT?' Mark said. 'NO!' He started to run away with Poneaf.
'FLARUNT, GO!' Tom said.
Flarunt used Pound on Mark, knocking him down. He dropped Poneaf who ran over to Kim.
'PONEAF!' She squealed, hugging Poneaf.
Mark got up and ran away, yelling 'YOU WILL PAY!'
'Great job, Tom!' Kim said, hugging Tom. 'You saved Poneaf!'
'Yeah. Lets just hope that creep doesn't come back' Tom said. 'Now lets go catch some more pokemon!'
So they went into the tall grass to see what they could find.
