Come on, what's wrong with him coming back?
Nothing, I'm just saying that he resigned and its not normal for someone to come back after resigning. Founder or not.

But the way you're saying it makes it sound like you don't want him back.

I don't get this whole argument!
It doesn't matter if Sep "resigned", I mean, we're not paying him or employing him so does it even make a difference?
What is a sub-dev anyway?!

Never mind, I have a flash game to make! (Yay!)
But, one more favor, please? Can I have the 'Tanks - PLEASE TEST WITH PANTHER' project in the dropbox projects folder? I deleted dropbox, you know, for you guy's corporate privacy XD.

Better watch it. In 1978, San Francisco Supervisor Dan White resigned from the Board of Supervisors and then a few days later changed his mind. Mayor George Moscone refused to reappoint him to the position, and so White smuggled a gun into City Hall and killed Moscone and, while he was at it, Supervisor Harvey Milk, another of his political enemies.

No, I think he meant that he proved him wrong.

No, it's a cautionary tale. I was reminded of it as soon as you guys started this (pointless; I agree with sparks) debate. I was teasing mp56. The smiley was just to make it clear that I don't really expect Septimus to shoot him.
But, seriously, mp56, do you not get it that this isn't a game about lawyering and hairsplitting over the meanings of words? Do you not see that the important thing here is that a friend of yours is unhappy and you're not helping?
(At the session at the Scratch conference about the Scratch online community I had a disagreement (an argument, I suppose, but I'm reluctant to use that word because it was a friendly discussion) with Andres and Lightnin about the no-private-messages policy, and this is the sort of situation I had in mind. Really the reason I took a teasing tone in that earlier message was that I was avoiding saying the above, which is what I should have said in the first place, because I have to say it publicly which I can't do without embarrassing both mp56 and Septimus, which I regret and for which I apologize.)

Look, septimusheap was a developer, he resigned but was inactive for quite a while before he did, so his resignation didn't really change much for us. If he wishes to resume his position, I have no problem with that and I hope the rest of the team agree. MP56 regrets this, he tells me, so let's just clear that up.
When I tell people that the panther development thread has had over three and a half thousand posts, I don't want to have to mutter that some of those were pointless and not at all worthwhile. Let's keep this professional and constructive, please
