Mac if you can afford it, otherwise you can get a windows and install ubuntu. Windows 7 isn't that good. I have it and snow leopard and I like snow leopard much better.

Your welcome. I recommended ubuntu because windows, at least in my experience, always has a security problem or update. Not with Linux. Is there a particular part of ubuntu you don't like? Mousy of it's changeable.

Hmm, good question! I prefer Mac, but I love Windows 7 too. I guess I'm kind of 50 - 50 about this.

Windows. I use it.

I really like mac... but I have something against the way it runs programs. I can't put my finger on it, exactly.

The paint program in windows 7 sucks
It's just like any other garbage art program you can find on the web. Paint classic is awesome for pixel art

Oh come on, it's not that bad. I like photoshop better, but still.

I was considering getting 7, but then learned that most of my favourite games would be erroneous, and the paint sucks. Anti-Aliasing is for the birds, whatever that expression means

Two words: WINDOWS. SEVEN.
Seriously. It's on my laptop, which I'm on right now and is almost always the only computer I use. IMO, it's very reliable.
And for an antivirus program to go with it, I recommend Microsoft Security Essentials, which I also use. You can ditch whatever security software that comes with your laptop. In the past, I've found that McAffee just slows down your computer, and both McAffee and Norton can be annoying when nagging you for activation or renewing your subscription.
And Paint isn't that bad, I use it all the time for cropping screenies/doing a little editing. But if you want the whole nine yards, use GIMP.

Mac has no virus. Windows is more for kids.
Actually, you're wrong there. There are viruses for Macs, contrary to popular opinion. One I can recall from the top of my head is Leap, which spread though iChat.
And you think Windows is for kids!? Heck, Mac is the one that's supposed to be simple!! Seriously, what made you think that?
