I was watching the british Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy TV series, and on the part where they randomly pull out numbers from the bag, the question is "What do you get when you multiply six by nine?" They say it's 42... What?

6*9 is 54.

At least it wasn't 300.
THIS... IS... SPARTAAAAAA!!!

It was in the book, too. In hexadecimal, the equation is correct.
And keikij is needed in Super Hero RPG.

In hex, 6*9=36 O_O

Strange, could have been another thing, like octadecimal, or something.

Wait, actually, that's impossible. For 56 (base 10) to equal 42 (base n), we do this:
56-2 (base 10)=42-2 (base n)
54 (base 10)=40 (base n)
54= 4n
n=13.5
So it's base 13.5, but that doesn't make sense.

Ouch. You can never sneak any math errors past the master here

Have any of you read the Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy? (I haven't, but I've heard about it.)
I know it's a joke. BLEH.
I haven't but I've heard about it too.

I have one thing to say to that:
Har har.

Let's get back on topic.
So, yes. The math is clearly invalid. 42ers aren't so good at arithmetic.

Oh, yeah, on topic.
42 is the answer to the universe.
Too bad.
42 is relatively prime to 715.

For all skeptics, here is proof of antimony's mathic wisdom:
