9,624 KB music????
I exported the "Get Ready!" music a couple hours ago (Since I don't have the music on a CD or anything) and when I imported it into Scratch, it was almost 10 MB!!!!!! The music is only 3 minutes and 43 seconds long! Please don't reccomend me music recording sites, because I EXPORTED it. Can someone tell me how to make the file size smaller so I don't go over the 10 MB limit just because of a inflated file size?

I've heard that when you import sound files into Scratch, they expand in size. 
There are other projects with longer music and they don't bring the projects up to 10 megabytes - yeah, something's wrong. Is there any way to compress the music or reduce the quality? You could just cut some of the music off, but that wouldn't be as nice.

Hey icecreamandcake, have you tried compressing the files using the Scratch program itself? This usually compressed the program down to a more convenient size.

May I recommend using the highest quality?
It's the best, I use it in all of my games.

Sound takes up lots of space, I keep it to 20 second loops most the time.
No-one really wants to wait 30 minutes for your music to load while they could just be enjoying the project better and with less lag without it.
Almost 4 minutes of song is allot for scratch to handle, I wouldn't use the word "Only" to describe it

I'll try compressing while uploading, see if that keeps me from going over the 10 MB limit.
