Wrestling/UFC Discussion

So about 5 weeks ago, I saw this one clip of a TNA match on Youtube. Ever since, I have been hooked on TNA. I went back into the archives and watched old, classic matches, and started watching the new matches every week. I have no idea why, I just got addicted. I haven't been hooked to a sport like this ever before.

My Favorites:
Wrestler: Jeff Hardy
Tag Team: MCMG(Motor City Machine Guns)
Non Tag Team Partners: Jeff Hardy & RVD
Official Weapon: Singapore Cane
Non-Official Weapon: Janice
Match Type: Weapons Street Fight(No disqualification)
Wrestling Group: ECW(1.0+2.0)

WWE stinks. No one ever gets hurt, and all of the matches are fake. Plus, Jeff Hardy and the other wrestlers are way better at TNA.

For TNA Fans
Don't you think TNA is on a roll? So Kevin Nash comes back with Sting(after suspension) who has the Wolpac face-paint. And before that, the ECW guys coming back? That was truly awesome. And finally, the Sandman making his return. TNA is heading in the right direction.

Fixed for you  big_smile  Personally I don't like TNA or WWE. I like UFC because you get to see a variety of martial arts.

Oh, thanks. I heard that the matches are fake, but I didn't know for sure. No wonder everyone hates WWE  tongue

Yea, they script the fights before the matches even start. It's like a play, so I don't understand how anyone can like WWE.

It does seem that TNA is making a comeback after all this time. I've heard about the Sandman making a return, I'm wondering how this will affect things.  smile

Well, I don't hate the WWE, it may be fake, but hey, it is still rather entertaining to watch (although, I have to admit, it does seem to focusing more on drama rather than on wrestling lately. Too much drama makes everything stale after a while. I want to see something new). To my understanding, the moves are fake, but the matches aren't rehearsed, it's actually more like improv for the most part.  smile

Lastly, UFC is awesome.  big_smile

Yeah, I like UFC, and WWE is interesting. But how do you feel about Rob Van Dam getting hit by Janice?

Ah, I just saw that, rather quite bloody match. I thought it was terrible what happened to RVD. I've always thought the stuff at TNA brings on a bigger beating on the wrestlers (at least compared to the stuff at WWE), it's hard not to feel concern when one of the TNA wrestlers gets hit with something like Janice.

Re: Wrestling/UFC Discussion

Adriangl, cheddargirl, what are your favorite martial arts to see in UFC? My favorites are Capoeira and Muay Thai. Anderson "the spider" Silva ftw  big_smile

Ah, I'm not picky, I'm more interested in seeing how well attacks are executed.  big_smile

Well Anderson Silva executes his attacks devestatingly. And there is this one guy that is really good at capoeira that got a knockout in 20 seconds. You've probably seen it before if you watch UFC stuff on yt. One thing I dislike about UFC is how so many fights end up being battled on the ground. I don't want to see alot of poorly done Ju Jitsu and Greek Roman Wrestling. And there are some so-called "masters of the ground" that don't even try to stay on their feet, and they also end up getting pumbled anyway. One "ground master" once tried to use his ground style against Anderson Silva, and... It didn't end to well for him xD

Yeah, I have to go with Capoeira and Anderson Silva.

@cheddargirl Many people are saying it's fake, and in the past, people have pretended to get seriously injured so they could take a break from TNA. But I would find it hard to tell Abyss to pretend to hit RVD with Janice  tongue  Also, can you rename this topic "Wrestling/UFC Discussion"? Thanks!

Bump.

I like boxing too, but I like UFC better because of the mix of martial arts you get to see.
