Pssh, that's easy or you to say, world renowned superstar.
I would say you and archmage are about equal in fame. Just an opinion.

There are a few ways, a few of them not very good.
Not Good Ones:
1.Saying you've quit then coming back on. That just annoys people.
2.Spamming hugely. You'll be famous for SPAM.
Good Ones:
1.Being nice. You'll have a ton of friends!
2.Practice programming & drawing.
Neutral Ones:
1.Kind of quitting one account and going on another account to clean off your reputation. (I might be doing that sometime soon, cuz most of my projects are characters.)
Yesh...I have 38 friends :3 all from being nice well almost all

Some advice:
-Be really nice. Would you rather be known as a bully or a friend?
--Leave meaningful comments on projects and offer suggestions.
--Comment constructively on other people's projects.
-Don't spam/advertise your projects by commenting on other peoples projects, use the show and tell forum for that, or advertise in your forum signature instead.
-Don't "Quit", and then suddenly come back. that will get you the bad type of famousness.
I have more advice, but i cant remember them right now.

Well, you can take Multiple ways to get famous
Number 1 I call the Parr0t way:
All you have to do is be mean, spam, and start flame wars, just like the now banned for life user, parr0t. You'll be well known this way but the next ways are better
2: The Archmage way:
This is probably the hardest because to get famous like this you have to make like, THE best games on scratch
3: The Standard way:
Just keep doing what you've been doing, and you'll eventually make it big! Keep trying!

I've been on a year and have gotten featured and wouldn't consider myself popular.

Have about make a REALLY REALLY good project, advertise it, don't share it. Then list some of the features take some screenshots of gameplay, later annouce more features, keep saying, it will be ready soon (but you can't say exactly) then when they are getting fed up of you, realease it.

I agree. It is really about luck. Getting a curator, or getting a Scratch Team Member to notice your project sets you off on the road of knowwingness. As for the big project thing, I say anything bigger than 2 mb, took months to make, or has 100+ scripts (all being necissary) are big.

Yeah i noticed that
I mean there IS bias, but surprisingly most of it is towards those who are already famous. You can become famous from sheer skill, but recently it's been almost always luck.
Yes, it requires luck. I made a lot of projects that came from my heart, still I had like no views on them. Famous scratchers have a better chance to get there project on the front page again because everybody is going to view there account so they have a better chance. *sigh* i wish i was famous.

about the spam thing i know a kinda famous scratcher who got her famous by spamming and said sorry at the end so people can FORGIVE HER. Thats how she got famous. Even on some projects about hate mail she tells everybody "I get like 10 hate mail each day, plz feel sorry for me" and thats all i got to say. P.S. i am not gonna say who it is who spammed and got famous.

Try making a funny project. I did, and overnight I became part-famous

Bleh, there is no specific way to get famous. I've made a few good projects, but I'm not super famous

4: The Icecreamandcake way:
Make a funny project (Sometimes without even trying, especially on my most-viewed project. I wasn't trying to be funny, but the BOOM- it got almost 70 views.), and be nice to everyone. You'll get a lot of people adding you to their friend's list (Seriously. At least 2 people add me to their friend's list every 2 days)

Hmm.. I think a good way to get noticed is to ONLY post projects which are extremely good. People will want to look at all of them

same. and i got curated, but people only looked at that project mostly.

my tip:
Make a project for Scratch Design Studio. It doesn't make you super-famous, but your project has a better chance of being viewed. I made a project for this and it has 50-ish views.
