Now, you may or may not know this, and I searched to see if there was another thread like this, and I don't think I found one. So maybe you know what I'm talking about or maybe you don't, but please don't go saying "Oh this is so easy, this is children's stuff" because first of all, you may think people will be, but absolutely nobody is impressed by you so stop boasting, and secondly a lot of people won't know this, so don't be so arrogant.
Now, if you don't already know the "shift-click-R" method thing, then go to this Scratch Wiki article.
Now, shift click the R, and click on the white bit around the edge of the screen, The World Menu will come up.
Click on "new morph..." and mouse over "Movies" then click "Movie Player Morph."
A movie player type thing will appear on your mouse, and you can move it around, place it on the top left corner of your Scratch Project and click, it will stay there. You put it there so that the whole movie can actually be seen. To move it around, Alt-Click on it four times and select the brown icon with the square in it to drag it around. You must have fill screen off to do this. When you're done, click elsewhere.
Now, onto playing a movie. First of all, find an MPEG or JPEG movie file somewhere on your computer, and copy it into the folder "Program Files (x86)" (that just makes it easier to find). I don't really know with a mac, so you'll just have to find it the harder way. It will also play MP3 audio files.
Anyway, click the "open" button on the movie player (doesn't work in presentation mode). If you use Windows, you should see Program Files (x86) in the menu. Click on it, and select your movie file, if it is an MPEG or JPEG it will open. Now you have your movie file, click the play button to play it!
All the other buttons work like you'd expect them to.
Now, onto the pros and cons of this feature:
Pros:
• Allows movies to be played in Scratch!
• Includes the movie's sound as well
• Means you don't have to program your own movie player
• Means you don't only have to use animated gifs
Cons:
• Doesn't work in presentation mode
• You can't upload the project
• Accepted file types limited to MPEG and JPEG
• You can't move it around once you've placed it
• You can't save the project
For more detailed information, please go to this Scratch Wiki article: Scratch Movie Player Morph

Actually, you can move the player around anytime by middle/alt/cmd-clicking it and dragging the halo that says "Drag me".
And the player will also play MP3 files.
If you want a dialog box to open files with the player (like the one that opens Scratch projects), just let me know and I'll give you it.

Nah, I don't care about this, I only wrote this because it's fun. I also wrote an article for the Scratch Wiki on it.
But I'll update the information you told me!
