MMORPG game collab.
Hi, this is cooljj100 and i would like to create a MMORPG with some other scratchers. We will work on the base and the game mechanics untill scratch 2.0 comes out then we add more code to add the MMO to the RPG
Basic overview of rpg:
This game will be similar to the game runescape by Jagex. It will scroll using the arrow keys or WASD and and from launch have the following skills:
=non-combat:
==fishing
catch fish in the water
==cooking
cook fish and dishes
==mining
mine raw ore from rocks
==woodcutting
chop wood from trees
==smithing
refine ore into bars
==weapon/armour smithing
turn various things into armour and weapons
==alchemy
turn plants herbs and such into useful potions
and many more
=combat:
not decided yet? group will decide
there will be many more things added to the game but you will have those are on the bubble.
Note: anyone who has a major part in the develompent of the game will be admins
I have a way for this not to become laggy so don't you worry!

I am not saying you can't do your own, but there is a team already, that I happen to be on, that is already making exactly that. We aren't doing some of those features, at least not yet, but we could add it. We are a team of 4 or 5 atm. If you want to, join here:

There can be more than one MMO game made from scratch, or Panther.
I'd like to help with this, I am experienced with programming scrollers and I know how to use Panther if you don't want to wait for Scratch 2.0, I post a lot in the forums and I can put a link to this forum in my signature. I know some other people who might be willing to help with this, PopStar and Jacuzie could help you with this game if you need some additional help, I'll just have to ask them.

Yes you and you friends can help. And the siggy thing would be sweet! We can start once we get around 5 people. Maybe cap the team at 8.

I'm going to say it now. It is not impossible, but it will be EXTREMELY DIFFICULT for a single person (or a group of new users) to make.
It will take you three years to get to the point where you can unveil a demonstration...
