Thanks everyone! All the students doing this subject are currently pulling their hair out trying to make everything work the way they want it!!
My partner and I were making a number sequencing game. We would have a number line ( zero at one end and 10 at the other.) The numbers 2,5,8 for example would be around the screen waiting to be placed. The student would click on the number they want to put on the number line. When they click on the number they drag it to where they think it belongs on the number line. We worked out how to make the program recognize if the number was in the correct position and say “well done”. The problem we had is when we tried to play the game; we couldn’t move the sprite around. This made the whole game redundant since if the student can’t move the sprite around they can’t put it where they want on the number line.
Now we r trying something else, where the students are given instructions to click on objects that begin with the letter T e.g: the trees. We learnt how make parts of the background into sprites.
The fundamental problem with this is that if the students have little or no english they might not know that trees start with the letter T, they might not even know what the word “tree” is.
So, kinda back to square one…again..

Here, this link should help with the dragging.

Or this one. However, this method is a little more complicated.

Hm... How do you mean "change stages?" If you're talking about costumes or backgrounds, you can use the "switch to costume" or "switch to background" block under "Looks."
