First, go to the userpage of the person you want to add (follow the link with their name on it on projects/comments/galleries).
Then, in the top left, near their profile picture and their location, it should say "add to friends". Click the link, and the website will add them to your friends list.

As displayed below, making friends is a great way to spread projects, because they'll tell their friends who will tell...
Being the paranoid person I am, I'm only friends with people I personally know.
Oh, and by the way I'M HOSTING A CONTEST! Search HughyHugh and go to "my contest"
