Re: Scratch on Windows Mobile (PDA)

unfortunately windows mobile EXEs run differently from win32 exe's (pc). if you find a squeak vm (squeakvm.org) that runs on windows mob, then you can run the image on it. otherwise it doesn't work (i have winmob 6 on my phone and it won't work)

Re: Scratch on Windows Mobile (PDA)

I think this is it:

There was a Scratch app for the iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch available but Apple removed it  sad

I think it we would be cool to have Scratch on some common portable devices. Scratch is made in squeak, a very cross-platform programming environment.

You just need a VM, you have:
Squeak for Windows Mobile
Squeak for Iphone (iSqueak)
Squeak for Nintendo DS

Now we still need a portable scratch application. Scratch 1.4 works kind of, but it is designed for normal PC's and thus not ideal. It consumes way too much memory for use on resource-limited  devices.

What would a portable Scratch app look like?
Should it allow you to create Scratch projects, or just play them?

I already managed to play Scratch projects on a Windows Mobile Phone, it's really cool and I think this idea has a lot of potential.

Please post what you think!
