Sorry about that. Just try again. We've been having performance issues on our server. Things move slowly here when it comes to getting better hardware but we are working on it.
Ok, but I've tried this twice a day at different times for 4 days now. Still dies.
The bar stops at 'Connecting to scratch.mit.edu...' and does nothing.
I've noticed a blue box pop up for a split second then disappear. Can't read it.
Please help me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey calypso, in cases like that, you'll probably have to remove/change some things out of your project in order to make the file size smaller (for example, music files usually take up the greatest amount of space, so you may want to remove the music file or use a music file smaller in size than the original).

Thanks but I tried that too and it still didn't work! I removed two of my biggest music files

Ah, it must be a really big project then.
Maybe you could consider finding was to break the project up into smaller projects? For example, if the project is an animation, you could break up the animation into parts. If it's a game project with multiple levels, you could break up each level into it's own project.

Thanks. In the end I had to just take most of the sounds and gifs out but it still turned out good! Thanks for your help! Here's the finished product!

whats the limit of costumes on scratch? :p
It depends on the size, you can have 10mb of data on a scratch project, and I'm pretty sure there are 100kb in a mb, and each picture can be from 0.01kb to maybe 3645something mb, so even if you have just a tiny script, I wouldn't try pushing 9mb.

When I try upload my project, it says "failed, address not found" . What's happening?
It may be your computer is not connected, or behind a proxy.
If you are using a proxy:
- Wait for Scratch 2.0.
- Use 2.0.
If you are disconnected:
- Try connecting.
- Try sharing again.

I've had the 'failed, unknown reason' sign happen to me a few times (when uploading a test project), then I logged off my normal account and switched to my test account, and it worked! Maybe that could be one of the problems.
Do you have to be logged on to post projects?

umm this may be kind of stupid to some people but i am new. so i have some questions.
1. How do you change your picture for your profile?
2. How DO you upload projects to scratch?

Click "Share" on the top of the Scratch program and then click "Share this project online" in the dropdown that appears. Fill in the information it requires and your good to go. :)
