I remixed tankatron's version of the add-yourself project called "Join The Race!", and today I found out that 2 people remixed my version. I tried to see who, but the part of the remix chain that I was on never showed up! The remix chain on that project went from a helpful remix source to a piece of junk. Can someone tell me why this happened, and how can I fix it?

The remix chains are a little strange. One of my projects says that I remixed it twice, but I never did. It could be that you just can't find yours. The new remix visualization can be hard to understand when there are a lot of remixes.

No, no, I don't mean that. I mean that there is NO BRANCH on the remix visualization with the part of the chain I remixed from.

Well, I meant that sometimes the remix system doesn't work right for some reason. I was just using that as an example.

Wow, that is strange.
It seems tankatron's version of the project is not showing up on the remix chain either. That is really strange.
EDIT: this is the remix chain in question: http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/icecreamandcake/1234578/mods

Cheddergirl, try telling this glitch to the Scratch Team. Maybe they can fix this glitch.

Thanks for bringing this to our attention! We've been seeing some other issues with the remix chain recently too. If anybody has any other examples, please post them here. The more data we have, the easier it is to find the problem.
Hopefully we can fix this quickly

I looked at the project summary for your project and it shows this:
2009-1-18 09:16:24 save Join the race!
2009-1-18 09:17:33 share Join the race! ninja363
2009-1-18 09:34:37 share Join the race! Rlaalvarez
2009-1-19 19:06:03 share Join the Race! SpriteMaster
2010-8-1 18:32:58 share Join_the_Race![1] biscuts
2010-8-1 19:43:27 share Join_the_Race![1] tankatron
2010-8-7 14:54:45 save Join_the_Race![1][1]
2010-8-7 14:55:09 share Join_the_Race![1][1] icecreamandcake
The problem seems to stem from the project by Rlaalvarez...that entire branch of the remix tree is not showing up. I tried to look at his project but it appears to be a corrupt file of some sort...I could not download it. So that might explain why the remix visualizer is confused - it is trying to build the branch stemming from the Rlaalvarez project and failing.
I'm not sure how (or if) this can be fixed but I'll pass it on to the development team.

I hoped this gets fixed. I want to see the two remixes of my version of the project!
