And what about those viruses that use the Windows shortcut (.lnk) exploit that's going around? Nasty little viruses-all that has to happen for it to infect your computer is for an infected shortcut to be displayed.

There was apparently this one virus called Love Hurts that sent you an e-mail that said "I love you." When you opened the e-mail and the document attached to the e-mail, it overwrote almost all your files and sent the same e-mail to everyone on your contacts list. It was pretty bad.

The best/worst real computer virus I believe is Conficker (google it). A fake one? How about this:
A virus that removes all of your music, videos, and games. Then it reads your website passwords and puts them up on Youtube, then gives all of your info to telemarketers. It then changes the boot screen, your computer account pic, and your wallpaper to a picture of a cat's butt. Then after it has done its damage, it sends itself to everyone on your email and IM address books. Then it deletes all your files, and itself.
I call it Perstucto (a mix of "perfect" and "Destructo").
@m71134 That virus was called ILOVEYOU. It was BAD.

The best computer virus is one that sends info to the public and to the hacker, spreads across the network, and formats all your harddrives and partitions.

Well windows is pretty much its own virus. And since virus protectors search outside of windows it can only get rid of the source and by then the virus has blown a growing hole in your system

Lol actually some viruses are stupidly helpful. Like tgis one got rid of everything that slowed down my computer then i got rid of it because the virus auto deletes all your old stuff so ky computer was super fast!!!!
