Xenotype 9 still needs your help! :D Lol. Your opinion counts. :)

2 questions.  big_smile

One, should i have a window system? It would take much longer, but it will be better, but more glitches. Dx
Or should I have a Panel system. like iSyn?

Should I make it in BYOB? OR scratch? ><  big_smile  big_smile  big_smile

I say windows. When you're doing anything, my rule of thumb is to add anything that makes it better.
and scratch. you can't upload BYOB projects, can you?

I know. But... Well, it's really hard with windows, and if for some programs like Paint and Word, it'= would have to use a fullscreen mode thing. I dun like that. I'll probably try the Panel idea, and see how it looks. I have 8 tests now, one more don't matter.  tongue

You can't but I can compile it as EXE and, well, upload it. Or I can upload the BYOB file. Most people have byob 3 anyways,

Also, Lets imagine that we can upload byob projects. Which would be better? Byob or scratch?

Whatever works best. I'd say windows and Scratch, because most people are too lazy to mess around with programs and stuff.

Scratch.

Think, fg. All of the other Xenotypes have been programmed in Scratch.

So... BYOB!  big_smile

No, but seriously, Scratch. If you went over to BYOB...  mad

Are you serious?!?!? You haven't even STARTED developing the actual Xenotype 9 OS?! And you started taking signups for Xenotype 10 already!
*pouts*
BYOB3.
No windows. Labels. (Windows are so like last year XD)
But you should take your own advice anyway.

I say windows because:

1) i don't want people ripping me off
2) because Xenotype is an COMPUTER SIMULATION. iSyn doesn't have windows because it's not a computer: it's just an OS for a virtual toy.

Windows and scratch, byob is good but can cause it to lag (from my experiences) andits not owned by most of the scratch community

now if everyone owned it then it would be a different story

Apparently you don't have the latest release of BYOB3. It is MUCH faster than Scratch (in most situations anyway). Plus, all fg123 has to do is convert it to a .exe and then he can distribute it to users without Scratch OR BYOB3.

Panther is WAY too glitchy for normal use. Heck, I can't even use half the blocks without getting an error.
