Scratch is opened sourced meening that all those games/apps would have to be free. And they would go bankrupt from making diskes and the app is possible but against apple's rules for the apps

The app (for the iPhone) is not against Apple's rules, and Apple doesn't make every handheld device. I am pretty sure the Scratch Team could charge for the disks, as long as they don't make a profit. The real reason there won't be Scratch on mobile devices is because development would take up time that the Scratch Team doesn't have.

There is actually a developer that had a Scratch viewer app for the iPhone, but it was removed from the app store. Due to a slight change in Apple's policy, however, he has resubmitted it and is now waiting on Apple to approve it. So, fingers crossed!
