I dunno, I have never seen games that don't use tiles like you described.Look at pretty much any platformer on Scratch...?

And the export to .swf is a new feature so I didn't see it before, but it gives you a big stencyl splashscreen.

If by "a big stencyl splashscreen" you mean "There's a stencyl loading screen that they're thinking of letting you change"

Then yes.

It's a program about programming.
Look it up
It uses the same block type of thing as Scratch does, except it's more advanced and uses flash instead of java

I meant games in stencyl that don't use tiles obviously.

RHY left a few weeks ago. Look at this project.

Oh, how ironic. That project has a picture of stencyl's logo on it.

That's not ironic.
Ironic being "having irony", irony is the opposite of the literal meaning or a mismatch between the expected and the actual result, as well as the most misused word in the English language.
The correct word here could be "daunting" or even "foreshadowing" so next time use a DICTIONARY before you use IRONY again.

(Now if I then misused irony that sure would be ironic, eh? >:C)

Yeah this is actually really confusing coming directly from scratch. I've spent at least an hour trying to figure out how to do anything.

It's true.
I got the beta yesterday and I didn't know how to do anything
