Samurai768's School of Ninja Art

Like Wiimaster's school of spriting. This is NOT for spriting, because I don't want to steal business from Wiimaster. (If this becomes a fad where everyone makes school, I am deleting this and no one will become a ninja.)

To be eligible to join, you must be able to post picture you drew from paint or any drawing program (or even better, on paper!) onto the forums. If not, I can still teach you, just that you might not be as accurate.

Students:
-Blade-Edge
-jacool
-melikecheese
-bananaman15
-luigitailsdoll45

There are 9 belts. They go white, orange, yellow, red, green, purple, blue, brown, and black.

Once you get the black belt, you graduate and you are a ninja artist! Everyone has there own style, so no grades are given. You just need to learn the techniques and the basics.

So... join today! Just tell me how you would rate yourself as a artist (spriting counts) on a scale from 1-10  smile

The ninja is out.

I thought you were already good at art? You're already a ninja artist  tongue

But anyways, to join you have to rate yourself as an artist from 1-10.

Re: Samurai768's School of Ninja Art

To give an example, I would rate myself an 8, because I'm not perfect, but I'm pretty good.

Re: Samurai768's School of Ninja Art

Kay, you have a red belt, because you proably know the basics, and know how to draw stickfigures better then a 2 year old  tongue

Okay. Hmm. I'll be right back, I didn't write a lesson plan or anything really xD

Re: Samurai768's School of Ninja Art

You know shading too, so I guess you'll need a different lesson plan, wow this is like a student trying to teach a master, um...

How about realisticness? Can you draw a photo an make it look like still life?

You have no idea how difficult it is to teach a master xD

Re: Samurai768's School of Ninja Art

Lesson 1- Sketching and Point of View

Sketching is basically just getting what you have in your mind on paper. So, let's pick a simple object, like an apple. Just break down the shapes you see. if you look at an apple:
http://philspector.files.wordpress.com/2009/09/apple.jpg
It's a circle, and a stem. Easy peesy.
Sketching is the hardest and the easiest part of drawing at the same time, because it can depend on your skills and what you are drawing.
Now a more complicated object:

Would take a LONG time to sketch. Let's pick something not too hard, and not simple, like...a box of cheerios!
http://www.bittenandbound.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/05/cheerios-box.jpg

If this is way too simple and you already know all this, please tell me so I can move it to a higher level. Otherwise, please draw the box of cheerios  big_smile
