To port, all you have to do is copy one of the existing book spine sprites, recolour it, change the book title, and if you're good at word play, change the author's name  tongue  Change the second broadcast to the one you want your game to act on.

Then, make the 1s1s sprite hide when the flag is clicked, and show when it recieves the variable. At the end of the script, make it hide and broadcast "shelf".

Okay, I think I get that, but hopefully the script shouldn't be too large...

Hmm... Actually I think it will be too large for your computer, I've got a fast computer and it keeps crashing Scratch when I'm working on the script...

Well if anyone knows how to make a chatbot they would need to do it on their own... as that makes 2 of us who don't know how to  sad

I think we should just do a simple scroller, what about mario? or one like this http://www.stencyl.com/play.php?game=sna

It's not letting me view it for some reason Dx But I could make a Mario-style scrolling base pretty quickly...  big_smile

I could do a chat bot pretty easily, but all my time is being taken up by my one sprite one scripter... It depends what is more important...

OK ^^ If you like, you can copy/paste bits of the existing platforms, so that the style is the same throughout...  big_smile

I don't think we're particularly behind... we have some work left to do, but not too much...  hmm

@Team: I'll get SI scaled down and ported...  wink

WOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS! WE HAVE A FINISHED PROJECT!!!!!!!! YIPPEE-AI-AI-YAY!  big_smile   big_smile   big_smile

*calms down* ^^"

Seriously, though, The ARCADE is finished... I'M SOOOOO HAPPEH!!! WOOOOOOOOOO!!!! If you spot any glitches, please report 'em (same account as always ;D)

Now, all we need if WeirdF's 1s1ser, and we'll have two projects finished!!!  big_smile  Or are we not going to port it in..? You mentioned that it keeps crashing Scratch  hmm  If we can't port it in, we have completed two projects (it would pass as finished already, but adding your 1s1ser would be nice  big_smile )

*begins laying out St George's flag, and party hats*

You can tell when I'm happy  tongue

Re: Team England Scratch summer olympics - The team is full!

I'm a bit worried that I won't be able to finish in time, I haven't had much experience with this kind of thing so progress is very slow. I might have to let someone else sort it out, but I'll finish the bit I'm doing first. Sorry guys  sad   sad

Hmm... if you draw out the terrain sprites, I could script them tomorrow  smile  We're a team - if there's anything anyone gets stuck on, we'll try to help  wink

I can do all the scripts, it's just taking me ages to do not very much, and it's way too easy. I can complete what I've done in a matter of seconds.

Well if it doesn't crash, it freezes, and stuff, so I have to work really slowly on it, however, I have thought of an idea for Play God which may mean I am able to upload it and hide the lists, however for me to finish Play God we'd need to request the extra time...  hmm

All we need to do is make a big white sprite than covers the whole of the list, make sure it's in front of it, but then make sure all the other sprites are also in front of the big white sheet. However, I don't think it works if there's a background, so you'd have to make the background into a sprite.

If you guys don't want to go through all that hassle then I'm afraid I won't be able to upload a project... Which is a shame...  sad

That is a shame  sad  I'd try to help, but my PC's 1 GB of RAM doesn't really do anything quickly >.<

Would it be possible to make a very small 1s1s? It doesn't have to be over complex...  smile

1 GB of RAM? Oh...

And yeah, I suppose I could do that, I'll do something with variables probably then, some kind of mathematical thing, because it's very simple...

I just thought - some music would be nice in The ARCADE... Could someone find/make something kind of techno-ish? No lyrics, preferably... Thankies  big_smile

Re: Team England Scratch summer olympics - The team is full!

Would any of these be helpful concerning music?

[edited the links out for you]

They're free... Though I don't really like linking to that site... It contains material unsuitable for... Everybody... So if you could remove the links as well that would be great...

I'm not allowed to help with the music 'cos my brother won't let me use the computer. Well...he'll let me check this every now and then but that's all.
