Stretching sprites in one direction

Is there a way to stretch a sprite in only one direction?

Sadly, this feature has not yet been added. I hope soon, though!  big_smile

No  sad

It would be better when we would have a "height" and a "width" variable instead of "size".

Re: Stretching sprites in one direction

I'm aiming for the elimination of the "size" feature altogether. I'd rather have x-size, y-size, and scale, although that would take some getting used to. mybe adding stretch/skew to the effects block would be better.

Re: Stretching sprites in one direction

I guess the aim is double: keeping what as been done still working (so keeping size or renaming it to scale) and adding some new useful features. Maybe widthscale and heightscale would be less ambiguos (someone pointed out that x and y could be interpreted by some users as always relative to the screen axes) but I guess once it has been used once no one will be complaining on the name of the block.

Calling this new blocks strech and skew in the effects? Why not? I think that would be coherent and well integrated in scratch. What it is really important is that you can do it  smile
