Well, the first project ever uploaded was deleted (it was for testing) but the first remaining project is andresmh's "Weekend" - here it is.
Also, this looks like it might belong a little better in All About Scratch - I'll move it for you

I think the first 103 projects were deleted. If that was the 104th project.

Yes, they were - the Scratch Team used them for testing.

They probably had to test a lot of different possibilities to make sure there would be as little unknown issues as possible.
