Space was originally an TBG that I created, and I always knew that it would make a good game. So here we are, a year later, and I'm creating a game based on that, except lots more epic.

Concept: Space will combine four things: An epic story, a large overworld, a deep battle system, and an addictive 80's style space shooter. (I'm working on the battle system and I already have the basic story)

Story: It's 2160. Humantity has colonized the Moon and Mars, and knows how to travel at the speed of light, but have not yet discovered alien life, save for some microbes on Mars and Europa. Suddenly, a radio message is recived from somewhere in the star system Alpha Centauri. It's for some aliens, and they want a meeting on their home planet. Seven politcal figures are sent up on the fastest thin ever created, the Achilles. It can go from Earth to Alpha Centauri in 2 weeks. However, bad news came. The meeting went well, but in the middle, an alien from a different species, known only as Psy, kidnapped all of the officials. A rescue mission is esablished, and a team of people are sent on a mission on the new fastest thing ever, the Achilles II. (Earth-Alpha Centauri in a week.) You are are the heros, Nick Peirce (Me), Aaron Aldrin (throughthefire), and Sophie Summermoon.(keikij). Save the officials and defeat Psy!

I need most help with the graphics, but programmers, composers, and plot/idea guys will be appriciated.
