No, nothing's wrong - it's just that the Newest Projects section updates only about every 5 minutes or so, so there's a chance your project will have been pushed out by the time it updates. You can try uploading at off hours to potentially fix this problem, but it's really a matter of guessing.

Look at it this way too, it happens to everyone. But just as you 'catch' other people's projects as they momentarily hit the front page, some people also saw/see yours

That makes sense, but the updating happens server side, which means if you can't see it, nobody can see it.

There's an average of 38 projects uploaded an hour (probably more since Scratch is growing and this is the statistic for how long it took to reach 1 million projects) so there could be around 4 different projects every 5 minutes so that means 1 project, maybe yours, could have been pushed back.
