Nah, I mean things like "Omg I just got this game and it's so awsome" or "I just got addicted to this song."

I do agree with this topic to a certain degree. Topics that aren't clear about what information they are looking for strike me as very spammish. If somebody says "I have characteristic X with value Y" I am not sure what response they are looking for.
On the other hand, possibly there is an implied question in the topics: "I have characteristic X with value Y - what is your value for characteristic X or what do you think of my selection of value Y?" Still, it seems rather unclear.
However, we need to recognize that Scratch is made up of many different people with different interests and communication styles. Let's try and be tolerant while we work on improving each other's communication skills

I have a Twitter too but I never use it. I shut down my Facebook account though because I kept getting spam to innapropriate websites (I also never used it much either, just put up a few pictures).

I might as well advertise a few other twitter accounts
@ScratchOnDA for art contests and stuff for the scratch group on deviant art.
@LordSprites for updates on ... whatever

I have to disagree with you on this steppenwulf; I beileve as long as it's not inappropriate, we should be able to talk however we want. That means there is nothing wrong with "OMG", "LOL", "WUT", or any of that online language.

Text speak is meant to save characters and as a result money when sending texts. On an online forum where you're not getting charged for more characters text speak is simply laziness and annoying.

OMG LOL and WUT are common anywhere on the interwebs.
