text box

I think they should add a text box into scratch so you could type something in your game.
Like for a pokemon game you could add in type in your own name.  <{  smile   }>

Yeah, and then you could set the contents of that text box to a txt.string variable! Great idea! (searches for love-it button for post) (sorry Jens I copied you)

Yes, string handling is something that should definitely be in Scratch. I guess the Scratch Team is only figuring out how to do it in the simplest (to the Scratch programmer) way.
