Very nicely put! I definitely agree with everything you said - make good projects and people will get interested. Of course, there is *some* publicity involved, but simply advertising in Show and Tell is good enough

I second that, its a great reason why you shouldn't spam.

I usually comment on the curators project with a a compliment and a suggestion to see my project in a link..

Ya for some of my projects I make spoofs of really famous projects. People will want to see those. I also find similar projects and say in the comments that mine is similar and give the scratcher the link to the project. That can work too! Also, make a lot of projects. People have to look at atleast ONE!
