I think not - I just don't like the idea. ^_^ Besides, what'll happen to our Scratcher, Community Moderator and Scratch Team titles?
The Scratch Forums are for sharing useful information and helping others - making it into a sort of playspace wouldn't be so great.

You are talking about titles for the speciality, not for the message number?
If yes, I agree with you.
Else, I don't agree (it's would make more spamm).

It would put too much of a strain on moderators. Imagine about 30 people per day asking you to change their titles. Also the titles should be more generalized, like Scratch Artist, and Scratch Programmer. I don't think RPer or Epic Scratcher are too good of title suggestions.
Also what's up with all these people asking for new forum ranks / titles? This is the 4th topic and 5th person suggesting some sort of change in the topic titles.

There would be a selection place under profile.

I don't think the forums would let you select between some titles.

My mistake I meant to write could not would.

No, they can, it's just that the Scratch team probably doesn't want a bunch of random titles. They want to keep it organized

I don't mean setting your title whatever you want. I mean choosing inbetween 2 or 3 preset titles.

You also can't change forum groups without an Administrator so this wouldn't work if it was seperate groups either.

That actually looks more like you got shot instead of you're shooting him.

What do you mean into 3? Ah yes the New Scratchers.

That's the point.

So they are shooting themself?

No, he feels like my post shot him. Back on topic, it's been resolved, close now
Or don't

Well, RPer doesn't sound like a respectable user title for the forums. How about:
New Scratcher
Scratcher
Advanced Scratcher(Requirements: At least 500 posts and being helpful on the forums, MUST be approved by mod)
Community Moderator
Scratch Team at MIT

Well, yes it has been resolved. On top of being impossible, it is also impractical and would seperate the community further than it already is. Yes, the topic should be closed.
Hmm.. I've been ninja'd.
That would give some Forumers swelled heads if they got to Advanced Scratcher.

It would give people a reason to have bragging rights which would actually prove nothing at all, and it would encourage discrimination.
