if you already have a wifi router, can you create another wifi network free?

I don't think that's possible.

You need another router, or change the settings on the one you already have. And please specify what you need with wi-fi.

Is the internet for it not working? Or to go on the Ipod you need to enter the password? Please go more in-depth.

I believe he means that his iPod has been disconnected from his WiFi and he doesn't know the password to reconnect it. As such, he wants to know if he can simply set up a new internet connection with his router with no password.

Re: a wi-fi question

There should be a manual reset button somewhere on your router...  hmm

The password should also be written down on it, unless it's been manually changed.

Re: a wi-fi question

What is the specific brand and model of router you are using? Because if you know that and your default gateway (usually 192.168.1.1), you can access your router's settings through your web browser.

Doesn't that require an administrative password?

Re: a wi-fi question

If you have a mac, you can take your wireless network and make another network out of it.  big_smile

It requires a bit of tinkering, though.  smile

Re: a wi-fi question

don't make one with no password unless you want your neighbors stealing your wifi!  tongue  no, really. my wii can detect my neighbor's wifi signal.
