Whenever I open Scratch, it immediately stops responding, which eventually results in me having to shut it down.
So far I've tried:
Opening it multiple times
Reinstalling Scratch
Looking for a problem to see if Scratch was the only program malfunctioning
Help plz?

How many programs do you have open?

Scratch and Chrome. That has nothing to do with it. It doesn't respond every time I open it.

Hmmm... Maybe it's a memory problem?

Not at all, this is a brand-new Windows 7 laptop.

How new is it? New enough that the problem started when you started using it?

No, I've used Scratch properly for the past few days, this started happening an hour ago.
Hold on, let me try restarting the computer.

Yes..... Restarting it worked! I can get back to programming now!
Can a mod close this?

How about giving the computer more time? Many people shut down the programs that they think are not responding immediately but actually giving them (the programs) more time can usually solve the problem.

Yes, I gave it time the first time this happened.
Whatever, this problem is resolved anyway.
