There are over 150,000 projects now on Scratch so it makes sense to switch them quicker. It gives other people more chances of becoming featured.
Adding a featured project everyday gives each project 3 days on the front page. Isn't this enough?

It just seems weird because before I left they hadn't been changed for like 2 weeks and now they're gone in 1 day

Yeah, I can't beleive they pulled archknights adventure up. Hasn't it had enough publicity?
