Just think carefully about this: Wouldn't the moderators/Scratch Team close this if they knew that it's a hoax. And they almost certainly do know.

I think they might be a little too trusting, perhaps they haven't even checked the IP's yet. I don't think they say "HOAX!" the moment they see something like this.
