Scratch

none of those work, i've tried. my first user sucked and I don't want to make another one so what can I do?

Recently, there has been a  lot of scratchers quitting because of cyber bullying. I have counted 6 people quitting, or planning on quitting, between last Tuesday and today. I'm not mentioning any names, because I'd rather not start some sort of argument. 

PLEASE do not add to these people! Quitting because of bullying is a LAST RESORT. Here are some tips to help you deal with cyber bullying:

-Putting them on your ignore list is not always the best answer.  If they DO continue to post bad things about you, even if you flagged their first comment that was being mean to you, you might want to see what else they post so you can keep flagging them (if it's for the right reason).

-Ignore the first bullet point! Well, not totally.  Whatever you think is best. If you get very sensitive when you see a mean comment, and would rather just ignore them then make sure they don't do anything else mean, put them on your ignore list. :3

-If it is just ONE person bullying you, and they do it all the time and don't stop, report the user in the Contact Us.

-Don't feel too bad if you are being bullied. If someone is being mean to you, they are probably just a mean person, and, chances are, they are mean to other people too, and your not the only one. 

-If MULTIPLE people are bullying you, you are probably just letting it get to you. If you get a comment by one person saying "it sucks" or something, that's not really bullying. you can flag it if you want, but that is not like saying "it sucks" on ALL your projects, then THAT'S bullying. If it is a DIFFERENT person saying "it sucks" on each of your projects, don't be too offended because the particular person who said your project sucks, just dislikes that topic, and is expressing it in a not nice way, and it is just multiple people doing that, and it just happens that it is you.

-Don't quit because of bullying. That's what the bully is trying to do. Don't let them win. If you let them win, then once your done with, they will move to someone else, and that will keep happening until the whole community quits! Be strong and don't let them win! >:3

-Don't think that you should leave because you are being bullied by multiple people. Don't think everyone hates you. When you REALLY think about it, only PART of the community is bullying you, and the people who like you CERTAINLY outnumbers the people who don't. 

-If someone says "it sucks" and they don't even say why, don't reply and say "HOW COULD YOU SAY THAT?!?! YOU DON'T EVEN HAVE A REASON!!!" reply, politely something like, "That is your opinion. I don't see why you think that though. I worked hard on this. Could you please explain to me why you think that, so that i may make it better?' If they reply something like "it just sucks." Then, you can flag them, if they say something like "Oh, I'm sorry, i just don't like this topic." Then I would be nice and not flag them. 

-If ONE PERSON is bullying you, don't let the ONE PERSON ruin your scratch life. 

-If nothing works, just ignore it, PLEASE just ignore it! Ignore the bullies, ignore the hate mail, ignore the mean comments, just ignore it.

-If you are REALLY sensitive to this kind of thing, and just CAN'T ignore it, make a new account, and don't tell people who you really are. You can start your whole scratch life over. 

-If, NOTHING works, and you REALLY can't ignore it, and the bully figures out who you are on your new account, and FOR SOME REASON scratch won't ban them after they are mean to you constantly, then you can quit. But, I'm sure if they are mean enough to make you quit, scratch will ban them anyway (AS LONG AS YOU'VE BEEN FLAGGING THEIR COMMENTS!) so, PLEASE DON'T QUIT BECAUSE OF CYBER BULLYING!!!

Well, i was just exaggerating there.    but, yeah. i didn't use the word "trolls" in it, because there are a lot of younger users who don't know what that means.
