That movie was so bad.... especially casting, MONK GYATSO WAS A FAT BLACK GUY, not a chinese monk with an awesome goti.

Yup.
It wasn't as bad as all that. The acting was pretty bad same with the writing, but the story and concept was fun.
EDIT: Clarification I have not watched the series.

Actually... they might be able to pull it off, if they follow from the manga story. It would make more sense and it would actually appeal to more people(The manga has darker, less kid-friendly elements in it than the normal show and games, like some people and pokemon actually die, and some curse too.)
