A Scratch Challenge
A while back I tried to start a themed gallery where there would be a monthly challenge and people could submit their attempts.
It was not very popular and never really took of, but I was wondering whether it would be worth trying again.
The basic idea is that each month (although it could be a longer or shorter time period) I would set a challenge, which others can suggest, and any scratcher who wants can enter their attempt into the gallery.
Do people think it is worth starting this idea up again?
If yes then have you any suggestions for challenges?

Start it up. Oh how about a month of a painting challenge. You post a painting project that you think will win and then you have 3 judges. Hopefully Paddle2see, You, and someone else. The winner gets there name posted on here and on a project. It would be rated on the following. Colors, Tools, Orginality, Style, and Fun.

should it be a competition? i was thinking that the idea would be to show your porject but they are not competeing that way people of any ability can enter without feeling ashamed.

Assuming enough people are interested i would like to start this up again.
Possible challenges are:
A painting program,
A sailing simulation,
A racing game with opponents.
Any Ideas are Welcome

I have decided to stay away from huge games and make some smaller ones. I needed some Ideas like he said.

(Because you complained about my speed of making games) All of my quick little 5 minute projects are actually kind of good, like Ski Jump and Soccer Shootout.

You should definitely try to get that gallery going again. It's a great idea. How about a flight simulation challenge.
Oh and can you please take a look at my project T-Zine. I wanna know if it's good enough to ever really become popular.

Start it up again, and maybe a challenge where you let the other players draw ur character in when their playing
