A guide to remixing

A remix is where someone has made a project and uploaded it to the website, and then another person has come and downloaded it, made changes to the project making it better, then uploaded it again!

Its a perfectly good thing to do, as long as you remember to give credit to the original maker.

There are a few projects that are made for remixing, e.g: "Remix and add yourself!"

On these the idea is that person1, the maker uploads the original project with maybe a drawing of themselfs then a load of empty spaces,
Person2 comes and downloads it and draws themselfs in one of the empty spaces and uploads it again.
Person3 will come to person1s project, see that person2 has remixed it, so go to person2s project and add themselfs to that.

When doing this it is important to click the text that says a number then "Remixes" and see if anyone has remixed it, and if they have, instead of remixing the original, you remix theirs.*
That way people can fill up the spaces eventually and not just have 2 on each project.
It is also important not to remove anyone elses drawing, that is just rude.

Oh and if the project already has music, do not try and add loads more, the chances are people will not hear it and it just takes up space on peoples computers, makes the project take longer to load, and means people will be less likely to remix it.
Try and keep the music to short little loops if you are going to add any!

*When you click the "Number remixes" button a page should come up with something like this in it
http://i32.tinypic.com/2coiv4k.jpg
This is a map of all the projects remixed off it, if people have done it right their should only be one line coming off the main project (Brown dot)
Click on the orange dots and the camera will shift to show you that project, go to the one at the end of the line to find the last one, thats the one you need to remix.

For the projects that are not exactly made to be remixed, or are game engines for other people to use, the remix map may look more like a many-pointed star. This is because multiple people have remixed off the main project.
