Creating backgrounds/costumes from all the images in a folder at once

Instead of pressing "Import" and importing one image at a time, is it possible to import all of the images in a folder as separate backgrounds or costumes at the same time? If so, how? Thanks.

Not that I know of, but this would be very useful.

Re: Creating backgrounds/costumes from all the images in a folder at once

If you're using a Mac, I'm not sure (perhaps it's something similar?  hmm ), but, here's how you would import multiple costumes from the same folder at once on Windows.

1. Open up "My Documents" or the folder that the pictures are in from the Start menu.

2. Click-drag over the images that you want to import. If they are seperated in the folder, select each block of images you want to import, stop clicking, hold down shift and repeat.

3. Drag the selection to the Scratch button on the task bar, which opens the window.

4. Drag the selection to the sprite/stage icon, that you wish to import to. Release the click, and it *should* load.

Hope this helps  smile

I didn't really understand that starting from part 2.

Re: Creating backgrounds/costumes from all the images in a folder at once

Thanks Wolfie! I am on a Mac, and it isn't exactly the same, but what you said helped me figure it out. Here's how it is on a Mac:

1) Open Scratch and open the folder.
2) Select the Stage or the sprite where you want the images to go
3) Select the images you want in the folder by clicking on the first one and shift-clicking on the last.
4) Drag the images to anywhere in the Scratch window.
5) Wait for it to load.

@Ace
Explained with images:

1. Select all the images you want
