What I don't get is why people have to usae the forums to post "Hey! I got a new I-Phone" or "10 weird things about me!"

I know this is sort of giving up to the top remixed thing, but why don't you use a scratch project? You can make it interactive or you could just post one dissusion project and post all disscussion in the project. These forums are for collaborating, helping, finding answers, and inspiring. Not for spam, fads, memes, and sheep.

I'm forcing myself to post this, because I like the idea, but I bet everyone will think it's a stupid idea and it'll be one those things where it only works on paper.

Actually, I think moving unimportant discussion threads to a projects comment area is a very good idea. However, the 500 character limit makes it slightly problematic.

It's because we're all too lazy to make projects. Posting on the forums is a lot easier. But great idea.

Yeah, but most posts here are just "lol" or "SHEEP! I am a sheep (picture of sheep)"

Maybe we can temporarily close the misc so that people can go clean it up...

That's not necessarily the idea: The spammers can create their own projects and spam the comments there. That way other users, needn't see hide nor hair of them.
