I think it'll be from between 1300 - 1700. At the moment, the top 75 are all above 1600 posts. It's reasonable to assume 25 more people can pass that in a year.

no no what i meant was that by the time i get to the posts to get on the list i'm hoping it will only have that amount.

Several years, if ever. The Scratch Forums have been up since 2007 and only about 10 people have accumulated more posts than him.

Based on the 100 users in the list, here are some statistics.

7000+ posts = 2
6000+ posts = 4
5000+ posts = 6
4000+ posts = 19
3000+ posts = 29
2000+ posts = 57
1000+ posts = 100

Users 1 - 25 encompass post counts 7334 - 3140 (A 4194 post count difference in only a quarter of the list!)

This shows that the post count exponentially increases the further you go up the list. In addition, most of the activity within the thread will be in the lower part of the list.

Yeah like all the news is normally just people in the bottom half, and if not it would have been predicted days before, like coolstuff and float.

I don't think so... there's plenty of activity in the top also - but they don't pass people as often. I think the most inactive area is... maybe, 55 - 75?
