Mooster, I'm sorry, but a game of the scale of Pokemon simply won't work on a programming medium such as Scratch. It's simply not powerful enough. For instance, the game cannot store the variables for saving, if you want to quit and turn it back on.
Even if you attempted to do it in parts, how would one part be able to import your trainer and Pokemon etc., exactly the same as they were in the previous part?I have added saving to a game before but I used a code so basically once something happened you got a new save code so can everyone stop posting how it won't work and just post trainer ideas on this forum

Did that game have the myriad variables that Pokemon does? To effectively have a savegame, you need all of this data:
- Trainers Location
- All Bag Items
- Trainer Card Info (Number of badges, time played etc.)
- Pokemon Party Data (This includes type of Pokemon, level, experience, stats, moveset)
- All the Pokemon in the PC
- Events Activated
- Pokedex Data
Your code system cannot work. It would need an infinite number of different save codes to represent different states of the game, as basically no two save files are the same. The Pokemon games have each of these a set of variables which are overwritten every time you save. Scratch can't do this, so it is basically impossible to create a Pokemon game with any level of depth to it. Everyone is telling you that it won't work for a reason. It's not casting aspersions on your programming skills, as we would tell Archmage and RHY it is impossible as well. It's only an attempt to save you from attempting an impossible task.
It is a basic save system that wouldn't be exactly like pokemon but would be able to save your party, your route, and your bag plus each part would have 2 or 3 routes, 10 pokemon, 2 towns, 3 trainer battles, a pokemon center, a mart, and a gym battle so you would be in the same route, have the same party, same badges, same bag so yes it won't be precise but it still covers the basics and you will only officially beat each part if you have all the pokemon in that part

yea, but some one can make up a code that leads the to the elite 4 (talking to mooster)
But with what Pokemon?
You can have one out of 493 Pokemon in each party slot. There are 6 of these slots.
Therefore, the number of codes you would need for every different combination of Pokemon in this circumstance is 493 to the 6th power.
If you do the math, that's 14,357,588,953,446,649 codes you need for that one occasion, without considering each Pokemons stats, levels, movesets and everything else in that file. Now do you see why it's impossible?

My game will use just my fakedex and what wiimaster made which is just 40 something pokemon plus in this game instead of a belt you get a Pokecase that holds ten pokemon and you have a laptop to switch your party

So you'll just need 40 to the 6th power number of codes then.
Have fun programming 4,096,000,000 specific codes for it.

I Know I have to give credit to everyone in my team because I'm not the only one making this check out the Collab for a full list!!!

I'll leave the topic, but I'm not the first to tell you this and I certainly won't be the last: Attempting to create a viable Pokemon game on Scratch's limited resources is impossible.

It is going to be as close to pokemon as it can be

Don't be, I am just kind of frustrated with everyone telling me it won't work

Mooster....don't even try.
The scratch team themselves, all working together along with RHY, could not complete this. Scratch simply does not have the capacity to make a game like that.
If you want to make your own pokemon game, it is VERY possible! Just not at all with Scratch.
Look up "pokemon hack tutorial".

I have said it a million times Leave me alone about this, Only post if you have a character(battle and map)

Like how a Fire type can't learn a Grass or Water type move.

yes and like how you can't just make up a save code
