Wow, it got closed! I'm not surprised.

Time and again coolstuff and I asked people to stop chatting... it didn't really do anything.

I had no idea that it was hard to moderate and clean up - I suppose I didn't think...

About it feeding post counts and such, I totally agree.

I agree with the closing as well, and I don't think I'll ever ask for it to be reopened.

What a shame I didn't get to ask for it to be closed. It would have been fun. smile

Well, we've already got a topic that is closed. If there are mods that want to edit it, they can do it now. However, I was kind of hoping somebody had some ideas that didn't put more work on the moderators smile

Okay I understand now after reading my messages and reading all of the posts that were dated before the time of my deleted posts.

This is the thread announcing the closing of the Top 100 User List topic so why was DaGamez bringing his quitting drama into here? What do they have to do with each other? I meant Good Riddance to the list, if I had meant to respond to anyone else I would've quoted them.

If you did the list in a word document, you could report the thread with the List, and then ask a moderator to copy it over into the topic (a lot less work than what they'd usually have to do) but it might also inconvenience some other moderators with the long reports.

My feeling is that it does encourage post count competition which leads to spam. I'm currently discussing this with the rest of the Scratch Team. Until we have a consensus on the issue, it makes sense to leave it open - as long as people act respectfully in it.
