I thought of a new role for Scratchers- signature designers!

What this means is selected people will design forum signatures for use by the Scratch community. Each signature will show how it will look, and then it will have a code to copy below it, to put in your signature. All uploaded signatures are allowed to be used by anyone in the Scratch community. The Scratcher is allowed to use the signature as their signature, as well as modify the signature to their happiness.

What if a signature is inappropriate for the Scratch community? I think there should be a "flag as inappropriate" link under the signatures. It will work the same as flagging projects; the project is reviewed by the Scratch team and if it's appropriate the Scratch team keeps it on the site and if it's inappropriate the Scratch team will remove it. I think if a signature designer uploads more than 5 signatures that were deemed inappropriate, he/she loses signature designer privilages.

Kind of. Not exactly. It selects people to make signatures for use by other Scratchers.

Great idea here! I don't see how it's so much different than the already existing signature "shops" available in the "Requests" forum - and I'm not sure what would happen with community-designated signature-makers.

What I suggest is that on the front page, it will have a newest signatures section, which will show what the signature will look like, then the code for it below. Then there will be a see more link which will show all the signatures by the designers.

Well, Scratch really isn't meant as a signature-sharing site... It's more of a simple sidenote.

I support this idea. I like making signatures and stuff so i'd like to get a job doing this. If you want i could make a banner to put in you signature advertising this. It will attract more views. I hope you will let me make a banner.

Kind of. You would ask the "Signature Designers" to make a sig, they would design it, then it would be displayed somewhere along with the code for it.

Just make a group like the Forum Fraternity aka the Forum Fighters, and just make signatures and badges like what they do.
Call it 'The League of Scratch Signature Designers'

Oh yeah, and if a person's signature is inappropriate, that's what the regular report button is for also.

I don't get the utility of your idea sorry.
Simple dynamic signatures with Scratch stats (Name, Nb Projects, Nb Galleries, Nb Comments, Nb "Love it", Nb Downloads, and others) would be better for me.
Or Scratch's admins can give us a php code to get our stats.
